She maybe resents that I get to escape the children. She never says it, but I can imagine that she thinks, He just gets to walk out the door. She gets to spend a lot of time with the kids, which would be good, but being locked in with them all the time would drive you to despair. Just being with the kids all day when theyâre being little shits would drive anyone to the brink. She often says itâs good to have someone to talk to instead of just the children, to have some adult conversation, not in a malicious sort of a way, but just in passing.
